Recorder in Envox CT ADE

As you probably know the Envox CT ADE contains two different development tools. ADL and ADX. ADX is ActiveX programming and has to be imported into some development tool like Visual Studio. ADL is its own development tool divided into two parts. You can choose from programming in source code (for better programmers) or from flowcharter (GUI). This example has been created in ADL flowcharter.

Background:

The application is able to listen or record your own message depending on pressed digit. If press one, you'll listen the message saved on your HDD from last call, if press two, you'll record new message and the old one will be overwritten. Pressing zero terminates the call, another input is not valid and menu block will be repeated.

Used blocks:

4x Play block
1x WaitCall block
1x PlayMenu block
1x Record block
1x Disconnect block

Step by step:

After starting ADL Studio, check the "Create new project" and then choose file type as "Chart" for using graphical studio. Type the name of this project. The first block is Wait for Call Cell. If I click onto the icon, it will be automatically pasted onto the sheet. Double-click onto this block will cause opening the block properties. As you can see, here is only the description of this cell. Next we will use the Play Cell and in its properties add some greetings message.

Next block will be Menu Cell and it will check if the digit is pressed. We will use only digits 0,1 and 2. Zero for termination the call, one for listening message and two for recording message. Any other digits is an invalid entry and will go back to main menu. When pressing one, there we will need the Play Cell block. There is necessary to add the correct voice file into the Prompt flag.

When pressing two, we need to add the Record Cell block. In this block we define where the recorded message will be stored (it is in File to Record flag) and also choose some termination digit in Termination Digits flag. In the flag Prompt we can add some information message. Now we can paste the Play Cell block with a goodbye message.

The last block is Disconnect Call Cell which terminates the call.

ADL Compiler can work only with source code file, so if we want to compile it, we have to change the view to the source code. This is done by clicking on "View/Source Code". By this will be created a new file with an extension .vs. This file can be compiled then.
